Terms & Disclosures

Last updated: August 4, 2026 · powerbillcruncher.com

These terms govern your use of powerbillcruncher.com. By using this site or submitting our form, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The savings figures on this site are estimates generated from the bill amount you typed in. They are not a quote, not an offer, and not a guarantee. Only a signed agreement with a licensed solar provider sets your actual price.

1. What this service is

PowerBillCruncher is an independent advertising and lead referral service. We collect information from homeowners interested in solar and pass it to third-party solar providers who may contact you.

We are not, and we do not claim to be:

  • A solar installer, contractor, electrician, or equipment manufacturer.
  • A lender, broker, or financing company.
  • A utility company, or affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any utility company.
  • A government agency, or affiliated with, endorsed by, or administering any government program, rebate, incentive, or funding source.

We do not perform site surveys, design systems, install equipment, or service equipment. We are not a party to any agreement you eventually sign with a solar provider, and we have no authority to set, change, or honor the terms of that agreement.

2. Eligibility

To use this site and submit our form, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
  • Own the property you are submitting, and be authorized to make decisions about it. Renters cannot enter into a solar lease.
  • Be located in New York, which is currently the only state this program serves.
  • Provide information that is truthful, accurate, and your own.

Submitting someone else's phone number, email address, or property address without their permission is a breach of these terms.

3. Estimates are illustrations, not offers

The new monthly payment, monthly savings, annual savings, and 25-year savings figures shown on this site are automated illustrations. They are calculated from the bill range you selected and a set of stated assumptions, including an assumed average annual utility rate increase of 4.5%.

These figures do not account for your actual roof, actual usage, actual utility tariff, panel orientation, shading, system design, equipment availability, permitting, interconnection approval, or credit approval. Your real numbers will differ, potentially by a lot.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or lease anything, a promise of approval, a promise of any specific price or savings amount, or a guarantee of any outcome. A solar provider will give you real terms in writing, and you should read that document rather than relying on anything here.

4. Consent to be contacted

By checking the consent box and submitting the form, you give PowerBillCruncher and its solar partners prior express written consent to contact you at the phone number and email address you provided, including through automated telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and SMS, about solar products and services, even if that number appears on a state or federal Do Not Call list.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. You may revoke consent at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Your information

Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms. Most importantly: the information you submit is shared with third-party solar companies so they can contact you. If you are not comfortable with that, do not submit the form.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or automated form entries.
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use bots against this site.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or probe or test their security.
  • Interfere with the operation of the site, or introduce malicious code.
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or copy our content for a competing service.

7. Intellectual property

The design, text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to PowerBillCruncher or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Utility company names and third-party trademarks appear only to describe the services those companies provide, and their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

This site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any estimate, calculation, or piece of information on it is accurate or complete.

We do not endorse, guarantee, license, insure, bond, or supervise any solar provider you are matched with, and we are not responsible for their work, their conduct, their pricing, their agreements, or their marketing. Vet any contractor yourself before signing anything.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PowerBillCruncher and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or loss of data, arising out of your use of this site or any contact from, agreement with, or work performed by a solar provider.

Our total liability for any claim relating to this site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PowerBillCruncher harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your submission of information that is not yours to submit.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please email us at support@powerbillcruncher.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue. Most problems are faster to fix this way.

12. Changes

We may update these terms at any time by posting a revised version here and changing the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
